Nazirah Muhammad is a visual artist residing in Washington, D.C. Because both of her parents are artists, she spent most of her childhood in the artistic world. As she grew up and honed her artistic skills, she began to develop her own voice, message, and style. Her fascination and study of spirituality and culture lay the foundation for her motivation to create. The subject and concepts for her paintings are often inspired by her meditations and indigenous cultures. With acrylic being her main medium she also experiments with ceramic, beads metallic paint, and other various sculpting materials. With her artwork, she works to inspire others 
to look at themselves on a deeper level.
