Black Sun (Son) features a veiled Black woman holding a child. Behind them you will find a black sun which represents the vastness of creation. The brown pattern in the background is the Flower of life which represents the beginning and origin of creation. It represents the power of the woman pictured to produce Divine life.

In October of 2020 during a meditation session, the image of a black woman, wearing all black, holding her son with a large black sun behind them came into my mind. I then felt VERY compelled to get that image onto a canvas. This piece is also inspired by archetypes such as Ezili Dantor and The Black Madonna.
